Register of Officers
The current Register of Officers is Coast Guard Personnel Service Center Instruction M1427.1C and provides a snapshot of the officer corps as of 1 January of the Register's year. The Register reflects an officer's precedence order as listed in their respective promotion list. This document is published once a year and Direct Access provides the real time data. CG PSC (OPM-1) and CG PSC (RPM-1) manages the Register of Officers. If there is a concern with a particular entry in the Register, e-mail Chief, Promotions Section and the appropriate personnel will resolve the issue. Please note, this document, as published here, is static and will not reflect any changes made.
The Register of Officers is not intended to serve as any particular promotion list. A promotion list is a lineal list of officers used to determine which officers will compete for promotion and, if selected, the order in which they will promote. A register is a published version of one or more lists per 10 U.S.C. 122. To comply with 14 U.S.C. 41(a) and 14 U.S.C. 725, a single Active Duty Promotion List and a single Inactive Duty Promotion List are maintained by PSC (OPM) and PSC (RPM) respectively.
