National Maritime Regional Exam Centers

All application for credentials must come through your local REC Center and must be submitted in person until April 15th. Therefore, if you are applying for a Merchant Mariner Credential you need to go through your local REC.

 

Regional Examination Centers (RECs) are your first stop toward obtaining Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC), Certificates of Registry and STCW forms. RECs pre-screen applications, administer examinations and conduct oversight of approved courses. To view information for RECs, click on one of the blue states in the map above.
