Providing Credentials to Mariners
The mission of the Regional Examination Center (REC) is to pre-screen applications, administer examinations and conduct oversight of Coast Guard approved courses

REC: 7:30am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday
Exam Room: 7:30am to 3pm Monday through Friday
Exam Scheduling: ALL Mariners are required to schedule their exams 3 working days prior to visiting an REC.
Appointments: We highly recommend that you schedule an appointment before coming to a REC. Walk-Ins will be handled on a 'Space Available' basis only.

Located in the Jackson Federal Building with armed security. To gain access, visitors must have currently valid federal or state photo identification, and will be screened along with all baggage intended to be brought into the building.
Parking: Parking is available in the local area via street meters or at commercially paid parking lots.
Tolls: If traveling by ferry to downtown Seattle, ferry fares will apply. Ferry schedules and fares
