Petaluma Lake RV Park
Location: Petaluma, CA. Situated
on Coast Guard Training Center Petaluma, which is located about 50 miles
north of San Francisco and 11 miles west of Petaluma.
Season of Operation: Year round.
Description: Located in beautiful
Sonoma County. RV Park is situated near a small lake. Area presents a
quiet and rustic atmosphere.
Facilities: Designated areas for
tent camping and picnicking, with a comfort station, are available. Full
MWR facilities are easily accessible onboard the Coast Guard Training
Center.
Activities: Fishing, softball,
volleyball, horseshoes, picnicking, and swimming pool (January through
November only).
Recreation Equipment Available: Fishing poles,
tents, and various camping equipment are available at the MWR gear issue
locker located at the MWR Office in
building 250. Sports equipment is available at
the gymnasium.
General Information: RV sites
have Electrical, Water, and Cable TV hook-ups at each of the 6 sites. Each
site also has a fire pit/grill and a wheel chair accessible picnic table. A
sewage dumping station is on base 1/2 mile from the park. Open fires are
not permitted except for fires from grills or camp stoves. Pets are
allowed, but must be kept on leash. Owners must clean up after
pets daily.
Reservations: Open only to
authorized MWR patrons. Reservations are required and can be made by
application only, obtained from the contact listed below. Reservations
should be made as early as possible, at least 90 days in advance. Payment
in advance is not required. Maximum length of stay is 2 weeks at any one
time with a maximum stay of 45 days within a year. For reservations or

Driving Instructions: Take
Washington Street exit off US 101, proceed west through the City of
Petaluma. After passing the Chamber of Commerce building on the right,
continue 8 miles (Washington Street will become Bodega Avenue). Follow the
Coast Guard signs and turn left onto Tomales Road. A flashing amber light
marks the main gate. Once on base, continue on Pennsylvania Avenue until you
see the lake on your left.
