Petaluma Guest House
Location: About 50 miles north of
the city of San Francisco, on the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center,
Petaluma, CA.
Season of Operation: Year round.
Description: Located in beautiful
Sonoma County. A total of 19 rooms are available, 8 of which are attached
to the Consolidated Club, 10 are located across the street, and 1 is located
in Harrison Hall and is designated as a VIP 2-room suite.
Facilities: A six lane bowling
center is attached to the Consolidated Club. A weekday evening food
concession is operated in the Club, serving pizza, sandwiches, salads, and
fried foods. Other facilities available within walking distance are the
gymnasium, fitness center, CG Exchange, library with Internet accessibility,
and a movie theater with DTS surround sound showing first run movies
beginning each night at 7:00 PM.
Activities: Bowling, shopping,
movie theater, library, and fitness facilities.
Recreation Equipment Available:
None.
General Information: One VIP room
for active duty O-5, civilian GS/GM-13 and above (CWO4’s, E-9’s, O-4, and
GS-12 on space availability). Eight rooms with private baths and full
amenities, including microwave, coffeemaker, TV with cable, and
refrigerator. Two of these eight rooms can accommodate 4 persons and the
other 6 can accommodate 2 persons. Ten rooms have full amenities but share
a bathroom. Guest housing does not contain facilities for food
preparation. However, food service is available at the Consolidated Club. Smoking
and pets are not allowed.
Reservations: Open only to
authorized MWR patrons. Reservations are required and may be made in person
at the Consolidated Club, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM or
by mail/telephone. Priority is given to Coast Guard active duty and DoT
personnel in PCS status. All other eligible patrons may make reservations
on a space available basis. For reservations or other information, contact:

Driving Instructions: Take the
Washington Street exit off US 101. Proceed west through the City of
Petaluma -- Washington Street becomes Bodega Avenue. Continue following
signs to the Training Center (a total of about 11 miles). Turn left on
Tomales Road. A flashing amber light marks the main gate. Once on base,
turn right on Nevada Street. The Club and Guest Housing are located in
Building #134 on Nevada Street.
