Monday-Wednesday and Fridays commencing at 0630. Physicals are not performed on Thursday due to in-house clinic training and administration.

Process takes approximately 3-4 hours. It is recommended that you schedule your physical exam at least 2 months prior to any upcoming deadline, i.e. (OCS, Relad, Ret, Aviator Candidate). When scheduling your physical, please be specific as to the type of physical you require.

If your record is not kept at the HSWL Alameda you will need to bring it for your physical exam appointment. If you do not bring your record your physical exam will be rescheduled.

If you are requesting your lab results please schedule an appointment to review the results with the provider that ordered the test. The technician is not authorized to give you results directly.

The clinic contracts for routine visual exams. Appointments are available for retirees and dependents on a space available basis (after active duty needs are met).

Examinations for contact lenses are not provided.

For active duty and retiree members only, glasses may be ordered in the lab department after your eye exam. It takes 2-6 weeks for glasses to come in. If you are an active duty member you will be be notified via e-mail and if you are a retiree you will receive a phone call when the glasses arrive.
