The Quality Assurance Branch evaluates & ensures the standard of care provided by CG health services personnel & nonfederal providers; conducts quality assurance visits at CG clinics/sickbays; oversees clinic funding & mail-order pharmacy program, manages cases beyond capabilities of the local unit & identifies TAD support.
The branch administers the Commandant's Health Services Quality Assurance Program by providing medical, dental, and pharmaceutical logistical and technical assistance to support operations missions throughout the Atlantic Area. The Quality Assurance Branch focuses on providing timely access to high quality, cost effective, prevention-based health care to Coast Guard members and eligible beneficiaries in the Atlantic Area. The branch monitors the effective and efficient use of health care resources, ensuring member fitness for unrestricted worldwide duty.
