Civil Engineering Unit (CEU) Cleveland, OH serves all Coast Guard units in the Great Lakes and Mid-Atlantic regions. The shore plant in CEU Cleveland's area of responsibility (AOR) includes over 140 units, 203 aid to navigation towers and lighthouses, 5,600 small aid to navigation structures, 4.3M square feet of buildings, valued at over $1.0B. CEU Cleveland is responsible for up to 400 projects worth approximately $85 million at any time in all stages of planning, design, construction and follow-on activity. Funded programs include maintenance & repair; acquisition, construction & improvement; and environmental compliance & restoration. CEU Cleveland is composed of approximately 60 civilian and military personnel from several disciplines, including civil, mechanical, & electrical engineers, architects, and contracting, real property & environmental specialists.
