Defense Commissary Agency Defense Commissary Agency
The Defense Commissary Agency operates a worldwide chain of commissaries providing groceries to military personnel, retirees and their families in a safe and secure shopping environment. Authorized patrons purchase items at cost plus a 5-percent surcharge, which covers the costs of building new commissaries and modernizing existing ones. Shoppers save an average of more than 30 percent on their purchases compared to commercial prices,
a savings of thousands of dollars annually.

One of the most difficult things a child can experience is having a parent deployed to a war zone for an indeterminate period of time. Kaplan University Scholarship Program
The American Freedom Foundation / Kaplan University Scholarship Program has been established to provide support to certain children and spouses of U.S. Service personnel that desire to attend an online undergraduate degree program at Kaplan University. CWO Association ScholarshipChief Warrant and Warrant Officers Association LT Art and Eleanor Colona Scholarship Grant
The purpose of the Colona Grant is to provide financial assistance to dependent children of Active Duty or Retired Enlisted members of the USCG and USCG Reserve serving on Active Duty. Each year one or more Colona Scholarship recipients will be named and awarded $4000.00 (paid in $1000 increments over 4 years) to support undergraduate studies. Applicants must be seniors in high school or a full-time students enrolled in accredited institutions of higher learning.
