Mission Statement
The Chief of the Legal Service Command (LSC) is the principle legal advisor and Staff Judge Advocate
to Commanding Officer Shore Infrastructure Logistics Center (SILC), Commanding Officer Health, Saftey,
and Worklife Office Portsmouth (HSWL),
and Deputy Commandant for Mission Support (DCMS) their respective staffs, and subordinate units.
The LSC also provides legal services and is the Staff Judge Advocate for headquarters
units without assigned legal officers located within the Atlantic Area AOR. The LSC also provides
personal legal services to individuals eligible for legal assistance.
