White House Workshop
About the Course
The White House Workshop is conducted by Alan L. Freed Associates in Washington, D.C. It provides managers with an understanding of current presidential policies and programs.
The training requires participants to be away from their position for 3 days.
Participant Objectives
- Gain insights into major issues and policies facing America today.
- Understand current policy debates that are of specific interest to senior federal managers.
Eligibility
GS 13-15, O5, O6Timeframe
We are currently revalidating our professional development course offerings and working with Acquisitions to secure new course dates. We apologize for the inconvenience. We anticipate releasing an ALCOAST the end of February with the new course dates. The web site will be updated with the new course information prior to the release of the ALCOAST.
Application Procedures
To apply:
- Coordinate with your Training Officer or ESO to submit an Electronic Training Request (ETR) using Direct Access. Course code: 500920.
- Write a statement that describes: (a) Your
current leadership responsibilities, and
(b) a recent work experience that involved extensive collaboration.- E-mail the statement as an attachment to CG133TrainingCourses@uscg.mil.
- Include the course title and convening date within the subject line of the e-mail.
- Include your supervisor in the cc line of the e-mail.
Costs are paid by Coast Guard Headquarters (AFC 56 "C" school account).
Selection Procedures
Selected individuals will be notified by record message traffic of their selection. Alternates will be selected and will attend the program in the event a primary candidate cannot attend.
