Commander
Ronzelle L. Green was born in Manassas, VA, but grew up in Twentynine Palms,
CA. Commander Green received his commission in 1996.
Commander Green’s first tour of duty was at the Marine Safety Office (MSO)
in Wilmington, NC. Commander Green worked in the Planning and Port
Operations Departments. After MSO Wilmington, Commander Green served at
Port Security Unit (PSU) 305, Fort Eustis, VA. During his tour at PSU 305,
Commander Green deployed three times with the unit (New York, NY after 9/11
Terrorist attacks - Operation Noble Eagle, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba - Operation
Enduring Freedom, and Rota, Spain - Operation IRAQI Freedom). After PSU
305, Commander Green served at U.S. Joint Forces Command (USJFCOM), Norfolk,
VA. Commander Green was responsible for Exercise Planning (J7) and the
Coalition Warrior Interoperability Demonstration (J6). After USJFCOM,
Commander Green was selected to attend the National Defense Intelligence
College (NDIC). After successfully completing NDIC, Commander Green was
selected to serve as the Assistant Chief of Intelligence and first Senior
Reserve Officer (SRO) for the Deployable Operations Group (DOG). Within
this role, Commander Green was responsible for identifying and establishing
intelligence requirements for the DOG and managing all DOG Reserve Staff
Resources. After DOG, Commander Green was assigned to the Coast Guard
Cryptologic Group (CGCG) at the National Security Agency (NSA). Most
recently, Commander Green was the Executive Officer of PSU 305. From
December 2011 to July 2012, Commander Green served dual roles as Executive
Officer of PSU 305 and forward deployed Chief Staff Officer, Commander Task
Group 56.5 (Joint Coast Guard and U.S. Navy unit), Camp Patriot, Kuwait
Naval Base (KNB) supporting Operations New Dawn and Enduring Free- dom.
Commander Green holds a BS from Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, OK, MS from
North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC, MS in Strategic Intelligence
from the National Defense Intelligence College, Washington, DC, and PhD in
Systems Engineering from The George Washington University, Washing- ton,
DC.
Commander Green’s awards include the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Coast
Guard Commendation Medal (2), 9/11 Medal, Coast Guard Achievement Medal (3),
Army Commendation Medal, PSU Insignia, Navy Tactical Coxswain Insignia, and
various unit and service awards.
