Lieutenant Kirk C Fistick, a native of Charlotte Hall, Maryland, graduated from American University in 2001 with degrees in International Studies and Economics. A licensed merchant mariner, Lieutenant Fistick served as master of the Maryland Skipjack Minnie V. for the Living Classrooms Foundation before attending Officer Candidate School in 2004. His career began as a Deck Watch Officer, Boarding Officer, Law Enforcement Officer, First Lieutenant, and Communications Officer aboard USCGC Mohawk (WMEC 913) in Key West, FL.LT Fistick was next assigned to Coast Guard Headquarters as Surface Training Evaluator in the Office of Human Systems Integration for Acquisitions from 2006 until 2009. He helped develop and manage the training program for the Coast Guard's new 418-foot National Security Cutter. His follow-on sea tour was as Operations Officer of USCGC ACUSHNET (WMEC 167) in Ketchikan, AK from 2009 until 2011. Most recently he was assigned to Afloat Training Group San Diego as the Coast Guard Liason Officer and as Executive Officer to the Coast Guard Afloat Group Pacific managing two detached Coast Guard offices in Everett and Honolulu.
LT Fistick holds three graduate degrees; a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Project Management from University of Maryland, and a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies with distinction from the U.S. Naval War College.
Lieutenant Fistick is married to Carrie Clemmer of Audubon, PA. They have one child, Tenley Anna.
Lieutenant Junior Grade Katie Spira, a native of Sanger, Texas, graduated the United States Coast Guard Academy in 2011 with honors in Mechanical Engineering. Her career began as a Student Engineer, Deck Watch Officer, Damage Control Assistant, and Boarding Officer aboard USCGC MOHAWK (WMEC 913). Upon leaving USCGC MOHAWK in 2013 she began her current assignment as Executive Officer of USCGC ADAK (WPB 1333).
Chief Petty Officer James Weaver, a native of Splendora, Texas, graduated U.S. Coast Guard Basic Training July of 1999.
Upon graduating Basic Training CPO Weaver attended MK A-School at Training Center Yorktown, VA. As one of the newest Machinery Technitions in the Coast Guard
CPO Weaver was assigned to MSO Saint Louis, MO where he served as a polution Investigator and Marine Safety Boarding Officer. After leaving MSO Saint Louis in
July 2003, his following afloat tours were to CGC DECISIVE (WMEC 629) and CGC WILLOW (WLB 202).
Most recently CPO Weaver served aboard USCG Station Woods Hole, MA as the Engineering
Petty Officer, Career Enlisted Advisor and Command Chief. Chief Weaver is married to Rosanna Gordon of Granite City, IL. They have two children, Kayla, age 15, and Chloe, age 11.
