USCGC ADAK originally stationed out of Highlands, NJ, has been operating as part of USCG Patrol Forces South West Asia (PATFORSWA), since its establishment in 2002, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. USCGC ADAK has played a key role in Maritime Security and Maritime Infrastructure Protection operations. USCGC ADAK is one of six 110' cutters operating throughout the U.S. Central Command Area of Responsibility. As of September 1, 2010, USCGC ADAK transitioned from Operation Iraqi Freedom to Operation Enduring Freedom.

Mission

Support Operation Enduring Freedom in the U.S. Central Command's (CENTCOM) Area of Responsibility.
