LCDR Blake Novak is a 1995 graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Government and a 2008 graduate of the Naval War College where he earned a Master’s Degree in National Security Studies. His first tour was as a deck watch officer aboard CGC Campbell, New Bedford, MA. Additional sea tours include Commanding Officer of CGC Point Stuart, Newport Beach, CA, Commanding Officer of CGC Wrangell, Kingdom of Bahrain, and Commanding Officer of CGC Pea Island, St. Petersburg, FL. In addition, LCDR Novak holds a 1600 Gross Ton Master Mariner License and has served as a Captain aboard dynamic positioning ships in the Gulf of Mexico for Oceaneering Int’l, Inc and as Chief Mate aboard a privately owned 195’ mega yacht in the Mediterranean Sea.
LCDR Novak’s staff tours include District Seven Chief of International Engagement, Pacific Area Major Cutter Scheduler and most recently the Coast Guard Military Aide to Vice President Cheney and Vice President Biden.
LCDR Novak’s personal awards include the Defense Superior Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, two Coast Guard Commendations Medals, and two Coast Guard Achievement Medals. Back...
