Commander Geoffrey P. Gagnier

A native of Churubusco, New York, Commander Geoffrey P. Gagnier graduated from the United Stated Coast Guard Academy in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management. His afloat tours include USCGC CAMPBELL (WMEC 909), USCGC ORCAS (WPB 1327), USCGC TYBEE (WPB 1330), and USCGC SENECA (WMEC 906).  While not at sea, he was assigned to the Thirteenth District Command Center, earned a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Maryland, and served in the Office of Financial Analysis at Coast Guard Headquarters.   He was the Coast Guard Military Aide to the President from 2005 to 2007. Prior to assuming command of Spencer, he completed an assignment as the Executive Assistant to the First Coast Guard District commander.
