Travel:
If traveling by commercial air, we recommend flying into Tampa International
Airport. Local transportation is approximately $55.00 to Sector St.
Petersburg South Moorings.
Ombudsman:
If you are married, please ask your spouse to call our ombudsman, Mrs. Carla
Turner. She can assist you and your spouse with questions about the ship
while we are away from homeport. Her cell number is 305-434-0974.
Housing:
If you are married, you should call the Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater
Housing Officer as soon as possible at 727-535-1437 extension 1160. If you
are single, E-4 and above, RESOLUTE has a limited number of
government-leased quarters available. E-2 and E-3 can expect to live
onboard until advanced to E-3 and qualified through Advanced Damage Control
and as an Inport Watchstander. Upon qualification, E-3's are eligible to be
put on the waiting list for Coast Guard-leased quarters.

Medical Information:
There is an independent duty corpsman aboard RESOLUTE who can assist you
with routine medical needs. Sector St. Petersburg Health Services
Detachment offers medical and dental services for active duty members.
AIRSTA Clearwater has medical and dental clinics. Local Hospitals include
Bayfront Medical Center and St. Anthony's Hospital. There is also a clinic
at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa. You can reach Sector St Petersburg

Weather:
Almost always sunny. Average temperatures in the summer are in the 90s.
Winter is between 50s and 60s. There are many opportunities to engage in
water-related activities. Many parks surround St. Pete. Fort Desoto Park is
located on the southernmost point of St. Pete and I-275. The Pinellas trail
is a 25 mile biking/ roller-blading/ running trail starting downtown St.
Pete and continuing through to north of Clearwater.
Deployment Information:
RESOLUTE generally deploys 185 days a year to patrol the waters of the
Caribbean. Our primary missions include counter-drug operations, alien
migration interdiction, and search and rescue. Average patrol length is
approximately 6 weeks. Some of the port calls we make around the Caribbean
basin are guaranteed to be ones that you will remember for a lifetime.
