Samuel R. Jordan
Originally from Williamsburg, Virginia, Commander Jordan
received his commission as an Ensign from the United States Coast Guard
Academy in May, 1992.
His first duty station was as Deck Watch Officer in USCGC CONIFER (WLB 301), a 180 foot long sea-going buoy tender based in San Pedro, California. In June 1994, he took command of USCGC POINT BRIDGE (WPB 82338), an 82 foot long coastal patrol boat based in Marina Del Rey, California. From May 1996 until May 1997, he served as the Aide to the Pacific Area Commander, Vice Admiral Roger T. Rufe, Jr., located at Coast Guard Island in Alameda, California. In June 1997, he was re-assigned as Executive Officer in USCGC BUTTONWOOD (WLB 306), a 180 foot long sea-going buoy tender based in San Francisco, California at Yerba Buena Island.
From June 1999 to March 2001, he completed a Duty Under Instruction Program at the Anderson School at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in the Master in Business Administration (MBA) program and at the Stockholm School of Economics in Stockholm, Sweden. After receiving his MBA in March, 2001, he was re-assigned to the Resource Directorate (CG-8) at Coast Guard Headquarters in Washington, DC.
In June 2004, he took command of USCGC CYPRESS (WLB 210), a 225 foot long sea going buoy tender based in Mobile, Alabama. In 2004 and 2005, CYPRESS participated in the evacuation from and response to numerous major hurricanes- including rescue operations after Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
In July 2007, he was re-assigned to Kodiak, Alaska where he served as Comptroller of Integrated Support Command Kodiak and Executive Officer/Comptroller of Base Support Unit Kodiak.
His military awards include the Coast Guard Meritorious Service Medal with operational distinguishing device, two Coast Guard Commendation Medals (one with the operational distinguishing device), two Coast Guard Achievement Medals (one with the operational distinguishing device), one Commandant’s Letter of Commendation Ribbon Bar, five Coast Guard Meritorious Team Commendation Awards (one with the operational distinguishing device).
Commander Jordan enjoys coaching youth sports, fishing, boating and traveling. He is a licensed 100 Ton Vessel Master.

Adam Chamie
Originally from Deep River, Connecticut, Lieutenant Commander Chamie received his commission as an Ensign from the United States Coast Guard Academy in May, 1996.
His first duty station was as Deck Watch Officer in USCGC MELLON (WHEC 717), a 378 foot long high endurance cutter based in Seattle, Washington. In June 1998, he was re-assigned as Executive Officer, USCGC EDISTO (WPB 1313), a 110 foot long island class patrol boat based in San Diego, California.
From August 2000 until March 2002, he completed a Duty Under Instruction Program at the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irivine. After receiving his MBA in March 2002, he was re-assigned to Training Center Cape May, New Jersey as the Comptroller.
In April 2005, he took command of USCGC MONOMOY (WPB 1326), a 110 foot long patrol boat forward deployed to the Persian Gulf in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
In July 2006, LCDR Chamie took command of USCGC KEY LARGO (WPB 1324), a 110 foot long patrol boat based in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
In June 2008, he was re-assigned to Arlington, Virginia, where he served as Afloat Assignment Officer at the Officer Personnel Management Division, Personnel Service Center.
LCDR Chamie has served as RESOLUTE’s Executive Officer since July, 2010.
His military awards include the Meritorious Service Medal with operational device (three awards) and the Coast Guard Commendation Medal with operational device (two awards), among other personal and unit awards. LCDR Chamie was the 2002 Coast Guard Elite Athlete of the Year in the sport of powerlifting, and he still holds several AAU world records.
