COMMAND AND CREW
Commanding Officer
LTJG Morgan Fowler relieved command of KINGFISHER on July 11, 2011. She
graduated from Troy University with a degree in English and minor in history
prior to enlisting in the Coast Guard. Following basic training and
Boatswain's Mate "A" school, she was stationed at MSST New Orleans and
attended Officer Candidate School in January 2009. In May 2009, she
reported to USCGC RELIANCE (WMEC-615) in Kittery, ME, where she served as
assistant navigator and supply officer.
Executive Petty Officer
BMC Alban Hawley assumed the duties of Executive Petty Officer in June 2012.
After graduating boot camp in Cape May, NJ in 2000, then SN Hawley reported
to Station Destin, FL. While onboard he “struck” BM3 and was transferred to
Station Oak Island, NC where held the position of Coxswain onboard the
47MLB, 41UTB, 27UTL, 25RBHS, 25RBS, and 23UTL. He also certified as a
Boarding officer and advanced to the rank of BM2 during his tenure. BM2
Hawley then transferred to the USCGC Zephyr (WPC-8) where he held the
position of underway OOD, Cutter Small boat Coxswain and Boarding Officer
conducting counter drug smuggling operations off the coast of Central
America. Later BM1 Hawley transferred to Station Ponce de Leon Inlet, FL
where he assumed the duties as the Executive Petty Officer and was advanced
to Chief Petty Officer.
BMC Hawley’s personal awards include the Coast Guard Commendation Medal, two
Coast Guard Achievement medals, a Commandant’s Letter of Commendation as
well as three Good Conduct medals.

Pride-Worthy Accomplishments
KINGFISHER's crew is made up of anywhere from seven to
nine personnel that includes a BM1, BM2, MK2, FS2, MK3, FN, and 2 SN. The
crew comes from a diverse background and each offer a unique perspective
that contributes to KINGFISHER's success.
