Commander Adam R. Wasserman

Commanding Officer, USCGC HARRIET LANE (WMEC 903)

            Commander Adam Wasserman graduated from the U. S. Coast Guard Academy in 1994, earning a B.S. degree in Government.  His first tour was as Deck Watch Officer aboard USCGC STEADFAST (WMEC 625) in Astoria , Oregon . 

Following STEADFAST, Commander Wasserman served as Executive Officer of USCGC OCRACOKE (WPB 1307) at Naval Station Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico.  From 1998 to 2000 he was assigned as a Command Duty Officer in the Thirteenth District Command Center in Seattle, Washington. 

Commander Wasserman then served as Commanding Officer of USCGC VASHON (WPB 1308) in San Juan , Puerto Rico from 2000-2002.  After VASHON he was assigned as Chief of the Operational Planning Branch for the Fourteenth District in Honolulu , Hawaii . 

In 2005, he became Executive Officer onboard USCGC DECISIVE (WMEC 629) out of Pascagoula, Mississippi. After DECISIVE, Commander Wasserman attended the Thomas Jefferson Public Policy Program at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia where he earned his Masters Degree in Public Policy. 

Upon completion of post-graduate education he was assigned as Assistant Section Chief, Major Cutter Forces for Atlantic Area after which Commander Wasserman took over as the Coast Guard Liaison Officer Afloat Training Group Atlantic.
