Active-duty Sickcall: Rockmore-King Clinic holds active duty sickcall Monday through Friday from 0745-0900; show time for sickcall is 0745-0800. Active duty members with an acute (sudden) illness or injury should report in person to the medical receptionist no later than 0800 (doors open at 0745); the receptionist will ensure you are seen by one of our Medical Officers and/or Health Services Technicians prior to 0900. Aviator/Aircrew upchits will not be granted during sickcall. We prefer that you schedule an appointment for this service since this is typically not an acute need; exceptions may be made to this rule by clinic administration when required by operational needs.
Same-day Scheduling:
In an effort to increase the availability of same day appointments and to reduce the number of cancelled and no-show appointments the clinic utilizes a "same-day" scheduling model. This format is similar to many civilian practices. This means that approximately half of all appointments will be reserved for same day scheduling; the others may be scheduled up to 2-weeks in advance. When calling for an appointment you may be advised by the staff to call back the following morning to schedule a same day appointment. While this may be inconvenient for some with busy schedules it will allow the clinic to see more acutely ill patients. The front desk schedules same day appointments according to the following timeline in order to ensure all active duty needs are met first:- Active Duty: Call in to front desk for appointment beginning at 0745;
- All other beneficiaries: After 0830, appointments will not be booked before 0830
