Men's Service Dress Blue Coat

Background Info:

The Service Dress Blue Coat is a single-breasted coat with notched lapels and a roll collar. It is semi-fitted and of conventional length. The coat will have four patch pockets with flap closures; one on each breast and hip.  Each pocket flap has a 22-linge Coast Guard gilt button attached.  The front of the coat closes using four 35-linge Coast Guard gilt buttons down the right fore part. When wearing the Service Dress Coat, Service Dress Trousers of matching material and closely matching color must be worn.  Officers' coats will have a sword slit over the left hip.  Dress Coats with this sword slit are not available from the UDC.

See Accessories for sew-on sleeve devices.  USCG Auxiliary personnel will need to replace the included Coast Guard buttons with the Auxiliary buttons.  UDC does not offer Auxiliary insignia for the Dress Coat.

Sizing Information

The fit of the men's Service Dress Blue coat is determined by height and chest measurement.

The REGULAR fit coat is determined by a chest and waist dimension, e.g., 40 inch chest and 34-36 inch waist. It is a semi-fitted coat. Determine the coat size by using the Regular fit table.

The ATHLETIC fit coat is also determined by a chest and waist dimension, e.g., 40 inch chest and 32-33 inch waist. It is an easier fitting coat at the chest, shoulders, back, and sleeve biceps than the Regular Fit coat, and is tapered. Determine the coat size by using the Athletic fit table.
