LCDR Amanda M. Ramassini
Before assuming command of TQC Chesapeake, LCDR Ramassini served as the Chief of Intelligence, Sector San Francisco, with an area of responsibility covering Northern California, Nevada, Utah and Wyoming. Prior to this, she served as the Operations Training Manager and Performance Analyst for FORCECOM, Operations Branch, Coast Guard Headquarters, Washington, DC where she identified and aligned operational performance requirements between the United States Coast Guard, Department of Homeland Security and Department of Defense while managing the Boatswain’s Mate, Operations Specialist, Port Security, and Maritime Enforcement Specialist ratings, validating curricula for over ninety courses.
LCDR Ramassini has a solid operational and training background, serving as the Supply and Training Officer aboard America’s Tall Ship the USCG Barque EAGLE (WIX-327), New London, CT and as Deck Watch Officer, Combat Information Center Officer, Training Officer and Boarding Officer onboard USCG MIDGETT (WHEC-726), Seattle, WA.
LCDR Ramassini is a 2001 graduate of the United States Coast Guard Academy where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Government. She subsequently earned a Master of Science Degree in Instructional Performance Technology from Boise State University.
LCDR Ramassini’s personal awards include two Coast Guard Commendation Medals and two Coast Guard Achievement Medals with operational device.
