|March 1, 2013. RADM Day, Coast Guard CIO, presents the CDR John P. Dailey Award to the 2012 recipients CDR Joseph Staier (pictured top) and Mr. Richard Sopkowiak (pictured bottom). Attending the ceremony and also pictured are CDR Dailey's wife, Fon Dailey, and son, John Dailey. The award was created to honor CDR John P. Dailey, USCG, who passed away in 2009. CDR Dailey was a staunch advocate for members of the C4IT community. He was a model officer, an outstanding leader, superb engineer, and charismatic mentor who, while fighting cancer, displayed courage in the face of adversity and continued mentorship and advocacy for the C4IT community until the very end.|
