CDR Cunningham and Mr. Earling awarded the CDR John P.
Dailey Award for Outstanding Leadership & Mentorship Within the C4IT

Feb 6, 2012. RDML Day, Coast Guard CIO (center), displays the
award plaque for the CDR John P. Dailey Award to CDR Dailey’s
family members and award recipients. Pictured, CDR Dailey’s
Father, John W. Dailey (left), Son, John Dailey (second from
left), Wife, Fon Dailey (third from right), and award recipients
CDR Lucinda Cunningham (second from right) and Mr. Gary Earling
(right). The award was created to honor CDR John P.
Dailey, USCG, who passed away in 2009. CDR Dailey was a staunch
advocate for members of the C4IT community. He was a model
officer, an outstanding leader, superb engineer, and charismatic
mentor who, while fighting cancer, displayed courage in the face
of adversity and continued mentorship and advocacy for the C4IT
community until the very end. |
RDML Day attends ribbon cutting ceremony at newly
established Coast Guard Centralized Service Desk

Jan 10, 2012. During a visit to the newly established Coast
Guard Centralized Service Desk (CSD), RDML Day, Coast Guard CIO,
is given a demonstration of service desk procedures and the
recently launched CGFIXIT system. After a quick training session
with IT2 Gullett, the CIO received and assisted with several
service desk phone calls from members in the field. |
