Determination Letters

Background

The National Vessel Documentation Center now posts U.S. build determination letters and preliminary and final rebuild determination letters online. These letters are in response to requests from vessel owners seeking confirmation that the regulatory standards to establish U.S. build are met and that work performed on vessels outside of the U.S. will not result in the loss of coastwise eligibility.
