Develop guidance, policy, and regulations to further
enhance the safety and security of our Nation's ports, vessels, facilities,
and Outer Continental Shelf facilities from legislation implemented since
the original Maritime Transportation Security Act (MTSA) of 2002;
incorporate major provisions from the Security and Accountability For Every
(SAFE) Port Act of 2006 and Coast Guard Authorization Act of 2010; and
develop regulatory efforts associated with the passage of the Transportation
Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) program and TWIC reader.
