The Coast Guard's ability to meet the needs of a dynamic regulatory process stemming from technical regulatory amendments, Congressional mandates, International conventions, agency recommendations, technological advancements, to name a few factors, is dependent on teamwork. When initiating events prompt a Program Office to initiate a regulatory project proposal, the Office of Standards Evaluation and Development (CG-REG) is there, committed to providing top-notch project management and economic and environmental analyses for these projects by utilizing teams of dedicated professionals called a Regulatory Development Team (RDT).
