Roger Taylor has served as the Yard's Quality, Safety & Training Manager since 2007. With an extensive background in the maritime industry, Mr. Taylor came to the Yard from the U.S. Maritime Administration where he was a project manager in ship operations and ship disposals. His previous work experience included Environmental, Safety & Health Manager and Ship Superintendent of Production and Operations at the Baltimore Marine Industries and Bethlehem Steel Shipyard in Sparrow's Point, Maryland.
Among other marine-related specialties, Mr. Taylor has been employed as a marine surveyor and as a commercial diver. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
