                                    2014 Black Engineer of the Year Award (BEYA)
BEYA hosts Stars and Stripes, an event honoring both active and retired African American officers and members of the Senior Executive Service community.  BEYA is one of the largest gathering of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) professionals and leaders who are committed to increasing the percentage of people from historically underrepresented communities in the technology workforce.  It is an opportunity to acquire and retain talent, to learn and network among the best and brightest technology minds in the country.  The theme for the 9th Annual Stars and Stripes Dinner was "Trusted Beyond Expectation".
