Armed Forces Classification Test (AFCT/ASVAB)
Active Duty Member
What is the Armed Forced Classification Test (AFCT)?
The AFCT is a battery of multiple choice tests administered by ESOs to members trying to improve their ASVAB scores in order to qualify for Class "A" Schools and Officer Candidate School (OCS).
How is the AFCT different from the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB)?
The ASVAB is a battery of multiple choice tests taken before you enter the armed forces.
The AFCT and the ASVAB are essentially different versions of the same tests. However your ESO administers the AFCT in order for you to improve your ASVAB scores.
Only full-time regional ESOs and a few collateral duty ESOs can give the AFCT tests. Ask your ESO for information on where you will need to go and how to set up an appointment.
