
Treasury Executive Institute (TEI) Executive Forum

The Treasury Career Advisory Panel announces the 2012-2013 Executive Forum for all Treasury Executive Institute partner organizations. This is a non-residential executive development program for a cohort group. All programs will be at the Treasury Executive Institute, 801 9th St. NW.

The program will hold monthly sessions (see schedule below) beginning on May 2012 thru August 2013. 2012 Session Dates

All sessions address executive competencies and are delivered by subject matter experts. Content is presented through case studies and other interactive methods. Several self-assessment instruments are used throughout the series. A Senior ranking member of teh SES serves as the Executive Sponsor.
Career employees at the Senior Executive Service (SES), GS-14, GS-15, and/or CAPT level who have demonstrated high achievement and are seen as the current and future leaders of the agency and are committed to a career in the Federal Government that are based in the greater Washington, DC area or can travel to Washington, DC for regular meetings.
Approximately three to four hours of pre-class assessments (e.g., MBTI, FIRO-B, OPM 360, Discovery, Strength Finders) are required by May 1, 2012

The Executive Forum is a series of 9 one-day* seminars scheduled for Nov 11 – Jul 12. Nominees are expected to participate fully in the series. The sessions will be in Washington, DC.
*one or two sessions may involve overnight travel at the expense of the home office

Nominees should submit a SF-182, signed by first and second level supervisors. Nominees should also submit a statement, on a separate sheet, addressing what they hope to gain from attending the program and the benefit to the Coast Guard, NO LATER THAN 28 February 2012. A selection panel will review the statements and select two primary and four alternate candidates to attend the program. Please scan and email the completed SF-182 and statement to CG-133.TrainingCourses@uscg.mil.Costs are paid by Coast Guard Headquarters (AFC 56 "C" school account).
A selection panel will review the documents of all eligible applicants.
Selected individuals will be notified by record message traffic of their selection.
Alternates will be selected and will attend the program in the event a primary candidate cannot attend.
Selected individuals will be directed to submit a completed SF 182, including the signed Continued Service Agreement (pages 4-5 of the SF 182).
