About the Course
LAMS is a continuum course that develops
leadership and management skills for first-line supervisors through an experience-based curriculum. Students
are given the opportunity to develop practical skills that can enhance
their performance as leaders.
Topics included are:
- Leadership Theories
- Team Activities
- Conflict Management
- Meeting Management
- Performance Appraisal (Enlisted Performance
- Personal Ethics
- Performance Problem-Solving
All graduates of the LAMS course earn 3 upper-level college
credits in organizational development from the American Council on
Education (ACE). LAMS addresses 8 of the 28 CG Leadership
E-5s are the targeted audience. E-4, E-6,
O-1, O-2, GS 9-11, WL (all), Aux (FC, VFC, FSC).
