Post "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" Repeal

As of 21 September 2011, the repeal of the law known as "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" is final.  Accordingly, all Coast Guard policies relating to it are no longer in effect; our remaining policies are sexual-orientation neutral.  The links below provide further guidance to DADT repeal policy.

On 12 February 2013, Secretary Napolitano directed the Coast Guard to maintain parity with the other military services by extending 22 benefits to same-sex partners in addition to the 20 current member-designated benefits.  Below is both the Secretary of Defense's memorandum and the ALCOAST announcing these benefits.
