Training Center Fire Dept. commonly known as "Coast Guard Fire" has been in service for 37 years protecting over 828 acres as well as the surrounding communities. The department is staffed with 10 full time civilian employees and 15 active duty members. The fire station is equipped with a structural engine, a wild land engine, water tender, one rescue squad and a command vehicle. Our average emergency responses are between 285 and 310 a year which include several statewide wild land responses. The Fire Chief is also responsible for the base wide safety program.
