NORTEL Option 11C Advanced

PURPOSE: Provides training on some of the basics of the Option 11c, such as adding phones, moving phones and adding more of the features that are not covered in "A" school.  Creation of multiple trunk routes which include:  E&M, COT, DID and also T1 trunks, Installation, setup and use of Meridian mail as well as the installation, setup, administration and maintenance of the Callpilot system. Coverage of both VPS systems including back-ups, restores and migration for the Option 11c and larger PBX’s. Programming of BARS is included.

SWIII Information Systems Management (ISM)

PURPOSE: The Information Systems Management (ISM) course provides instruction on the computer skills required for the management of the Coast Guard’s data systems. The ISM course also provides the fundamental skills and knowledge needed to support both shore and cutter environments. This course includes the areas of installation, configuration, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Coast Guard’s current operating systems on client and server computing platforms and supporting network equipment. Students receive hands-on instruction and experience in administrating software images supported on the Coast Guard Data Network (CGDN).
