EXCELSIOR COLLEGE EXAMS (ECEs)
Excelsior College Examinations are used to meet specific college degree requirements of the Excelsior College degrees and are accepted for college credit by over 900 colleges and universities.
There are 39 ECEs, administered on-line at Pearson VUE test sites. You can earn from 3 to 8 lower- or upper-level credits, depending on the test.
Each colleges and university decides for itself if it will accept credits earned through these tests toward its degrees and, if it does accept them, how many credits it will accept.

Official ECE Study Guides
If your ESO is a DANTES Test Control Officer (TCO), he/she can provide you with an official study guide for any of the above ECE tests.
Score Reports
You will be given a score report after completing a test at a Pearson VUE test center and will also be able to access it via Excelsior College's web site.
Costs

Neither registration and exam fees for ECEs are paid for by DANTES. The cost of these tests is $95, which is reimbursable via the Coast Guard Foundation grant program for those who are eligible.
Re-testing
If you fail to pass one of these tests, you may re-take it after a 60-day waiting period and after waiting 120 days after the second and all subsequent attempts.
