CEREMONIAL DETAIL

Coast Guard Training Center Cape May Ceremonial Detail / Recruit Off-Base Functions

Coast Guard Training Center Cape May maintains a ceremonial contingent consisting of permanent party personnel and recruits in training.  Led by Chief Petty Officer Timothy Grover, the Ceremonial Detail performs on-base (graduations, sunset parades etc.) as well as at other military/government official functions and community events.  Likewise, Training Center Recruits are periodically called upon for community service and other off-base functions. They are limited to a 60-mile radius or no more than an hour commute.  All ceremonial performances and off-base functions are considered for approval by the Commanding Officer on a case-by-case basis.

All requests for performances by the Ceremonial Detail or other Recruit off-base functions should be addressed in writing to:

Commanding Officer (tmc)
Coast Guard Training Center
1 Muno Ave

Attn: CPO Timothy Grover

In order to submit your request, you will also need to read the letter to potential sponsors and complete the Request Information Sheets found at the links below.  Note that the sponsor of a Ceremonial Detail performance or Recruit off-base function is responsible for all transportation, lodging, and meals required by the Coast Guard members involved.  The completed paperwork (formal request letter and completed information sheets) must be received at the Training Center no later than 30 days prior to the event or it will not be considered.
