CHANGE OF COMMAND
It has been my great pleasure to have served as Commanding Officer, Coast Guard Institute. My thanks to the staff here and to all of you. I know there were a lot of changes. Thanks for all the support in making it happen. It was a great motivator working for Coast Guard members. Oklahoma City is a great duty station and the facilities on the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center are outstanding. My relief is CDR Don Winfield. The Change of Command will happen on 11 August at 1500. Thank you all.

EDUCATION ADVISORY COUNCIL
The EAC was formed in 2010 to serve as both a sounding board for the Institute and as an advocacy group on behalf of the field. We all see the processes from different angles, but we all want what is best for the Coast Guard and for the training and education community. If you have a suggestion for an improvement, the EAC is a good place to start.

Collateral Duty ESOs you are not alone
Do you know who your full time ESO is? The full time ESOs are a great source of information and assistance for you and those at your units.
There is a list of full-time ESOs by unit on our website. A complete list with names is available at the CG Portal under the Training tab > ESOs > ESO/SMS list.
WANT TO PROVIDE FEEDBACK ON YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH A PARTICULAR SCHOOL?
The Institute has added a link to its website for feedback regarding school experiences. The link is there as a collection point of data on schools. It is the Coast Guard's official link for collecting such data. The link will open an email and then the member or ESO can submit the account of their experience.
The feedback can be either positive or negative. The link is located on the Registrar's Office pages on the Institute's web site. Leave Us Your Feedback.
