Mission Request Form
To request the Honor Guard for a performance or function (for funerals - see guidance below), kindly download and fill out this MISSION REQUEST FORM and email to Honor Guard Operations. A member of the Operations Department will acknowledge receipt of your completed form within 3 business days of submission.
The Honor Guard requests that
funding be provided for all missions at a distance of 200 miles or greater
from TISCOM (Alexandria, VA). If
funding is unavailable, the approval of the request will be left to the
discretion of the Honor Guard Company Commander.
For a performance or function other than a funeral, this request must
be received no later than 05 days business prior to the event date.
The Honor Guard exists to support Military District of Washington
(MDW) functions, such as Presidential events, to directly support the
Commandant of the Coast Guard, and to support all Coast Guard burials at
Arlington National Cemetery (ANC). Any
other event requests may be accepted only when it does not conflict with
MDW, Commandant, or ANC obligations.
Because some MDW tasking occurs with very little notice, other events
with less priority may be cancelled with very little notice.

No request form is needed for Ceremonial Honor Guard (

funeral support for a Coast Guard veteran at a location other than ANC, or
the Washington, DC area,
please contact your local Coast Guard Military Funeral Honors Regional
Coordinator (MFH-RC). A listing of MFH-RCs may be found on the
Coast Guard Personnel Service Center's Office of
Casualty Matters website or you may download this
MS Word file.
Support will normally be provided by the nearest Coast Guard unit
using the limited resources available.
