HISTORICAL NOTES: LV 12 (1) - GUTHRIE-

Prior to 1871 occupied Eel Grass Shoal (CT)-
1871 withdrawn and replaced by "new" LV 12
(The former supply ship GUTHRIE was converted to lightship use and later designated #12. She was replaced by a second lightship numbered 12 which had originally been numbered 22
