The Coast Guard is the nation's oldest sea-going service and most new
recruits coming out of boot camp are highly motivated to join the ranks of
our cuttermen.

Mixed Gender Cutters
We do not publish a list of available racks onboard cutters because it
changes constantly and sometimes we can make adjustments when needed. It is
best to put all available cutters from your shopping list in rank order
priority to obtain the best chance of earning an afloat opportunity.
Contact the Women Afloat Coordinator for specific details and counseling
regarding afloat assignments.
