What is Outreach?
Outreach is defined as building greater Coast Guard awareness and support, especially in geographic areas and within organizations whose demographics will meet the needs of the service. We increase our Outreach efforts by working with Recruiters, Liaisons, PIE, SEP, Compass, DOD, etc.
Diversity Outreach Manager
The Diversity Outreach Manager manages the Diversity Outreach Program for the U.S. Coast Guard with the purpose of establishing and sustaining partnerships on a national level with organizations, schools and communities that support the Commandant's diversity initiatives.

Outreach Objectives
To access each program, policy, recruiting event and strategy to determine where the Coast Guard will receive the best return on it's investment.
To monitor Diversity plans, policies, and procedures that empower each person to reach their full potential and that remove barriers that hinder an individual/group's progress in accordance with MD 715.
Diversity Outreach Board MembersThe Diversity Outreach Board is chartered to provide a comprehensive national strategy for increasing the Coast Guard’s presence in communities and organizations to facilitate recruitment of a diverse workforce. We use the Team concept to evaluate programs/events and to align initiatives and to make the best use of limited resources consistent with the Commandant’s focus on respecting our shipmates. |
