Advanced Education Guide
This provides all the instructions for getting started in our advanced education program(s). The guide outlines the rules, requirements and processes to follow for getting into school, while in school, and when you are finished.
Degree Plan Proposal (DPP)
Once you have selected a school and curriculum, complete the Degree Plan. Have your proposal signed (or forwarded through) your command for PCS departure approval. Submit your proposal to the DCMS-81 Advanced Education Program Manager at the Advanced Ed Mail Box.
Request for Orders (RFO)

Once you have are accepted at your approved college (per your DPP), complete the Request for Orders form and send to DCMS-81 along with your acceptance letter.  
Student Accounting Form (SAF)

The Student Accounting Form (SAF) is used to submit your tuition and fee payment requirements to the Coast Guard for payment directly to the school.
SF-1164 Reimbursement Form
The SF-1164, Claim for Reimbursement for Expenditures on Official Business, is used to reimburse you for book costs (enlisted only) and fees you were required to pay upfront, vice Coast Guard payment later.
Student Contact Form
The Student Contact Information Form is how we know where you are. Since you are not assigned to a Coast Guard Unit, this is our official "listing" for you.
OER Forms
DUINS OERs are required for all officers annually on 30 June and upon detachment. See Appendix C of the Advanced Education Guide for guidance.

Foreign Travel
Refer to Base NCR CSO, complete Coast Guard Form CG-5000A, and route to DCMS-81 for approval.
