ID
Card hours are: Monday thru Thursday 0730 - 1100 and 1230 - 1500.
If you are traveling a long distance it is recommended that you
call to ensure the DEERS/ RAPIDS machine is up and running and you have
the required documentation to obtain a ID or CAC card. No ID or
CACs will be issued without proper documentation. This includes a
signed/notarized DD-1172, birth certificate, additional form of
valid ID, marriage certificate.
The Coast Guard housing
units are located approximately 5 miles from Sector Sault for an easy convenient
ride to work. If you are not reporting into housing, there are a number of apartment complexes
and/or rentals in the area. If needed you can contact the Sault
area Chamber of Commerce for housing information in the

Facilities: Sector Sault
provides an indoor fitness/weight room including a sauna which is available to
member's and their dependents. The recreation deck has ping pong tables, foosball,
a television and a computer with open internet access (within Coast Guard
regs). The Sector exchange is located in the front of the building which has
various coast guard apparel, electronics, food, and more! The hours are Mon-Fri
0830-1700, Saturday 1000-1500 and closed Sunday. Also for the convenience of the
members the sector has a Galley that serves
breakfast, lunch and dinner at an affordable price and a great selection of a
variety of meals.

located in "The Soo" you are in the vicinity of
Weather: the Upper Peninsula
of Michigan has a rumor of snow-this is no rumor. Please be prepared for winter
months which can become very cold. The climate does change over the summer
months to range in the mid to upper 70s. As listed in the area demographics
here is an idea of what you will be looking forward to. January: high-21degrees
low-5degrees. July: high-75degrees low-52degrees annual rainfall: 33"
