Unit Information

Station Wilmette Harbor's responsibilities include maritime law enforcement, boating safety, and security for special marine events, Presidential security zones as well as the primary mission of Search and Rescue. This unit's area of responsibility covers Lake Michigan from Great Lakes, IL to downtown Chicago, IL, to include half-way across the lake. Station Wilmette Harbor runs an average of 90 to 100 SAR cases each year.
