TRICARE INFORMATION FOR RESERVISTS
Reserve members called to active duty for more than 30 days will automatically be enrolled in TRICARE Prime. Family members are also eligible beginning on the first day of active duty.
Members ordered to active duty for more than 30 days in support of a contingency operation are entitled to transitional health care benefits upon separation. Members separated with less than 6 years of active service are eligible for 60 days of transitional healthcare and those separated who have completed 6 or more years of active service are eligible for 120 days of transitional healthcare. Currently, this benefit does not include family members. However, t
