The mission of the Ninth Coast Guard District Legal Office is to:

Provide expert legal counsel to achieve the operational goals of the Ninth District Commander
Provide the legal services our units need to most effectively accomplish Coast Guard missions
Provide legal support to our people to maximize readiness.
Engage U.S. Attorneys and state prosecutors to pursue prosecutions that further Coast Guard missions.
