Response Department

Mission

The Response Department carries out command and control activities associated with incident response and/or security enforcement. The Response Department responds to; oil and hazardous material releases from vessels and waterfront facilities, flood events, search and rescue, law enforcement and security, and emergent waterways hazards and obstructions. The Response Department also manages the marine event permitting process, conducts safety and security boardings on commercial and recreational vessels, and conducts security and safety patrols.
