The Prevention and Compliance Chief is responsible for all personnel in the Prevention and Compliance Department, and activities pertaining to Foreign and U.S. vessels, MARAD vessels, Outer Continental Shelf, Alternate Compliance Program, the Streamlined Inspection Process, and Marine Casualty Investigations.
Assistant Chief, Prevention & Compliance Primary scheduler responsible for assigning department personnel to inspection activities. During the absence of CPREV, assumes position of Acting Chief, Prevention and Compliance Department. (409) 723-6565
Commercial Fishing Vessels Primary contact and scheduler for the examination of commercial fishing vessels. (409) 723-6590
Vessels Branch Primary contact for questions pertaining to foreign flag vessels, and inspected U.S. vessels (409) 723-6569
Outer Continental Shelf Primary contact for questions concerning MODUs and artificial islands on the Outer Continental Shelf (409) 723-6577
Investigations Branch Primary contact for questions concerning casualty and personnel investigations, and actions against the licenses and documents of mariners. (409) 723-6585
Waterways Safety Branch Unit small boats and the safe movement of vessels, including management of the South East Texas Waterways Advisory Council (SETWAC). Coordinates waterway management activities with the Port State Control Branch (409) 719-5085
